UX

User Experience Design

Also referred to as UXD or UED, UX is any aspect of a user’s experience with a given system, including the interface, graphics, industrial design, physical interaction, and supporting documentation. In most cases, User Experience Design fully encompasses traditional Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) design, and extends it by addressing all aspects of a product or service as perceived by users.

UX is, in most cases, supported by the UCD (User-Centered Design) process, which is composed of User-Centric Analysis and Conceptual Design. From here, a UI (User Interface) can be designed, both graphically and functionally. UT (Usability Testing) is then employed to ensure that the design meets both the usability and accessibility requirements of the original design strategy.
