Bad UX: Login Required

Requiring a user to log in in order to browse is the best way to promote dropoff.
Yet another example of poor UX…

If you want drop-off to occur as early as possible on your website, then you need to make sure you do this. Putting a login modal up front will surely turn your users away, especially if there is no “out” as in this example.

This experience might have been okay if a “No Thanks” link was provided in order to allow potential customers to bypass the login and see of their offerings were even login-worthy.
